The Administration for Children and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is soliciting applications in support of the administration of the School Safety Enhancement (SSE) program on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the Secretary of Education (the Secretary). The SSE program provides competitive grants to State educational agencies (SEAs) to develop, implement, and strengthen statewide school safety systems and the physical security of schools.Estimated Range of Awards: $500,000 - 5,000,000 per 36-month project period. Estimated Number of Awards: 30. Project Period: Up to 36 months. 

In 1988, the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Preservation grant program was established to document, preserve, and stabilize historic structures on HBCU campuses. Historic resources on campuses of accredited Historically Black Colleges and Universities that are listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places either individually or as contributing to a National Register or National Historic Landmark historic district are eligible for this program. Projects must meet major program selection criteria and all work must follow the Secretary of the Interior"s Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation. Projects may also fund survey, nomination, and preservation planning for historic HBCU campuses.

Summary: The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Kidney Cancer Research Program (KCRP) Concept Award supports highly innovative, untested, potentially groundbreaking concepts, theories, paradigms and/or basic kidney cancer research. This award mechanism supports high-risk studies that have the potential to reveal entirely new avenues for investigation in kidney cancer. Applications must describe how the new concept will be innovative and present a novel course of investigation in the field of kidney cancer. To carry out a project to provide programmatic, logistical, travel, and administrative support to advance INL Mexico’s objectives and programs. The purpose of NIDILRR's Disability and Rehabilitation Research Project (DRRP) grants is to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act by generating knowledge or developing methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technologies that advance a wide range of independent living and employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities, especially those with the greatest support needs. Under this particular opportunity, a DRRP must conduct knowledge translation and related activities in collaboration with the Burn Model System, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Model System, and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Model System grantees. Specifically, the MSKTC will be required to collaborate with the model system centers to produce and promote systematic reviews of existing research and information products for SCI, TBI, and Burn; identify and implement effective strategies for disseminating SCI, TBI, and Burn Model System programs" research findings; serve as the central resource for the Model System programs' knowledge and product dissemination; and provide training and technical assistance in knowledge translation for the Model System grantees. The purpose of the RRTCs is to achieve the goals of, and improve the effectiveness of, services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act through well-designed research, training, technical assistance, and dissemination activities in important topical areas as specified by NIDILRR. This particular opportunity is for an RRTC is to generate new knowledge about effective employer practices that support successful employment outcomes among people with disabilities. NIDILRR plans to make one grant under this opportunity. The grant will have a 60-month project period, with five 12-month budget periods.

The purpose of the RRTCs is to achieve the goals of, and improve the effectiveness of, services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act through well-designed research, training, technical assistance, and dissemination activities in important topical areas as specified by NIDILRR. This particular opportunity is for an RRTC to conduct research toward evidence-based services, supports, or interventions to promote community living outcomes among people with disabilities. NIDILRR plans to make one grant under this opportunity. The grant will have a 60-month project period, with five 12-month budget periods.

The SCIMS program is designed to provide research-based knowledge to support a multidisciplinary system of rehabilitation care for people with spinal cord injury (SCI). For purposes of this program, SCI is defined as a clinically discernible degree of neurologic impairment of the spinal cord. SCIMS Centers must conduct site-specific and collaborative research. SCIMS Centers must also collect and contribute data to the SCIMS longitudinal database. SCIMS Centers will be funded at varying amounts up to the maximum award based on the numbers of database participants eligible for follow-up in the SCIMS longitudinal database. Existing centers with significantly larger numbers of database participants will receive higher funding within the specified range, as determined by NIDILRR after the applicants are selected for funding. The grant will have a 60-month project period, with five 12-month budget periods.

ACL plans to compete a new cooperative agreement for one (1) award to operate the National Long-Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center (NORC). The purpose of NORC is to provide support, technical assistance, and training to the 53 State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Programs and their statewide networks to enhance the skills, knowledge, and management capacity of the State Ombudsman programs. As a result of this grant, ACL expects state Ombudsman will improve their skills and ability to effectively advocate for residents in long-term care facilities.

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity is to support one organization through a cooperative agreement to serve as the National Falls Prevention Resource Center. This center will act as a central connector to the aging network for the discretionary and formula funded Falls Prevention grants. It will offer individualized and tiered technical assistance, high-quality education, and a wide range of resources to increase the number of older adults and adults with disabilities who participate in evidence based Falls Prevention Programs. The Resource Center will help the network provide cost-effective services that align with the purposes of the Older Americans Act, Title III-D. They will promote the advancement of the Falls Prevention network through building partnerships, supporting data collection, reporting metrics, highlighting key achievements, and engaging stakeholders to encourage long-term sustainability of the programs.

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity is to award cooperative agreements to entities that will focus on specific targeted partnerships and additional innovative strategies as they relate to implementing evidence-based falls prevention programs for older adults and adults with disabilities in the community. Initiatives will enhance the services to quality, effectiveness, and proven outcomes of falls prevention activities for older adults and adults with disabilities centered on the whole person. Efforts will include ensuring collaboration with partners, creating and disseminating resources and education, and capturing best practices and learning. Additionally, the entities will design an evaluation to assess the impact of efforts on reducing falls and/or the risk of falls.

The purpose of this directed announcement is to provide existing SBA WBC grantees that will have successfully completed a 5-year Initial WBC Project or those WBCs that will have successfully completed a 3-year Renewal WBC Project the opportunity to apply for a new renewal grant.

The purpose of the program is to establish and implement comprehensive treatment and recovery centers that deliver a full continuum of evidence-based SUD prevention, treatment and recovery support services to address Opioid Used Disorder (OUD) and the opioid epidemic, substance misuse, and other substance use disorders (SUD) and to ensure access to medications for treatment of SUDs.

The Biological Anthropology Program seeks to advance scientific knowledge about the processes that have shaped biological diversity in living and fossil humans and their primate relatives through support of basic research on human and primate evolution, biological variation, and interactions between biology, behavior, and culture. The program supports a portfolio of research that demonstrates engagement with biological anthropological and evolutionary theory; includes diverse and interdisciplinary methods in field, laboratory and computational settings; encompasses multiple levels of analysis (e.g., molecular, organismal, population, ecosystem) and time scales from the short-term to evolutionary; and considers the ethical implications and societal impacts of the research. Developmental Sciences supports basic research that increases our understanding of perceptual, cognitive, linguistic, social, cultural, and biological processes related to human development across the lifespan. Research supported by this program will add to our knowledge of the underlying developmental processes that support social, cognitive, and behavioral functioning, thereby illuminating ways for individuals to live productive lives as members of society. The Developmental Sciences program supports research that addresses developmental processes within the domains of perceptual, cognitive, social, emotional, language, and motor development across the lifespan by working with any appropriate populations for the topics of interest including infants, children, adolescents, adults (including aging populations), and non-human animals. The program also supports research investigating factors that affect developmental change, including family, peers, school, community, culture, media, physical, genetic, and epigenetic influences. The program funds research that incorporates multidisciplinary, multi-method, and/or longitudinal approaches; develops new methods, models, and theories for studying development; and integrates different processes (e.g., memory, emotion, perception, cognition), levels of analysis (e.g., behavioral, social, neural) and time scales. The application must address a critical problem or question in the field of research and/or patient care in a congressionally directed FY26 PRMRP topic area and one of the FY26 PRMRP portfolio-specific strategic goals.Distinctive Features: Applications must not include preliminary data. The focus of this award mechanism is innovation. Research proposed to this mechanism should be pioneering and revolutionary, and the outcomes generated by the award are expected to generate robust preliminary data that will lay the groundwork for future avenues of scientific investigation or product development.Funding Details: The Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) expects to allot roughly $11.165M to fund approximately 29 Discovery Award applications with total cost caps of $385,000 per award. The Research Advancement Award supports use-inspired basic research to further or validate preliminary findings for short- and long-term impact. Proposed research projects may range from hypothesis testing to expansion of mature data.Funding Details: The Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) expects to allot roughly $19.6M to fund approximately 14 Research Advancement Award applications with total cost caps of $1.4M per award. Program Description- The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires the Secretary to provide annually at least $4,000,000 to address the postsecondary, vocational, technical, continuing, and adult education needs of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.[1] Aligned with this requirement, through this competition the Department intends to establish a National Technical Assistance Center for Postsecondary Education and Training for Individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This competition uses funds from three Department programs: the Technical Assistance and Dissemination to Improve Services and Results for Children with Disabilities (TA&D) program; the Personnel Development to Improve Services and Results for Children with Disabilities (PD) program; and the Educational Technology, Media, and Materials for Individuals with Disabilities (ETechM2) program.
